Per local regulations, the BGCA Board can only rent the community center to members of the Brighton Green community. We define this as anyone who is a member of our pool or a resident of the Brighton Green neighborhood.
Rental rates are based on your membership level. Everyone must purchase at least a Maintenance Membership (through the Membersplash link from the BG website) in order to rent the building.
Every rental requires a $25 application fee and a $100 security deposit. If your rental application is approved, the $25 application fee is applied to the cost of your rental. If your rental application is denied, your $25 is refunded. If your application is approved and you choose not to move forward or cancel at a later date, the application fee will not be refunded.
Current Rates (Spring 2023):
If you have a family membership, you pay $25 per hour.
If you have a two-person membership (including seniors), you pay $40 per hour.
If you have a single membership (including seniors), you pay $60 per hour.
If you have a maintenance membership, you pay $100 per hour.
The BGCA Board has the authority to deny any rental application if we believe that it is not in the best interest of the property or the neighborhood.
The building must be rented for a minimum of 2 hours. This includes set-up and clean-up time. No rentals will be scheduled to end later than 11pm, including clean-up
Renters are reserving for their exclusive use the main room in the community center and the kitchen. During pool season, the bathrooms and rear hallway will be open to pool members during pool hours. The grounds will remain open to all community members at all times.
Submitting the Google form does not reserve the building for an event.
Once we receive the $25 application deposit, we will review the form and reach out with any questions and approve/deny the rental. If we approve it, we will provide a rental agreement that must be signed and returned within 48 hours before we will reserve the building for your use. The full balance of your rental fee and your security deposit are due 3 days before your rental begins.
We do not provide any custodial service. The renter is responsible for getting the building ready for their function as well as cleaning up after their function. If the Board determines that the building needs to be professionally cleaned following an event, the renter will be charged for the cost of the cleaning.
The renters are responsible for any damage incurred during their party.
