Picture Day 2019
Thursday, July 11th 8:15 sharp!
I ask that people start arriving by 8:00am (traditional arrival time for picture day) so we can take the team picture as close to 8:15 as possible. I know this is an early start to the day but we will have the 10 and unders swim-a-thon immediately after (more info on swim-a-thon coming soon) so picture day needs to be quick.
All swimmers are asked to attend picture day and will be part of the team photo. Only those who are buying pictures and have paid will take individual/sibling photos.
After the team picture, we will go in reverse alphabetical order to take individual/sibling photos. We will have a list hanging up (on the white board the guards use at the entrance to the pool deck) to let swimmers and parents know who is up next. I do ask that swimmers pay attention and if they are going to be taking pictures soon that they stay nearby and ready. The only ones that will be allowed on the pool deck are the swimmer and parents that are currently taking pictures and the next two families in line, all other swimmers and parents and others will be asked to wait outside the pool area. The more people on the pool deck the more chance of picture interruption and distraction and the longer this will take.
Team picture will be taken with swimmers wearing their white BG team shirt. I do not have any extras that I can loan out. If you can’t locate your shirt, please wear a plain white shirt so the swimmer blends in.
Individual/sibling photos will be taken in swim suits. This is usually the current years suit but the parent can choose what the kids wear for these pictures. Typically, we ask that boys bring goggles which will dangle around their neck for the photo, otherwise they tend to have a naked look to them since depending on the angle you may not be able to see their bottoms.
Order forms and money should be turned in BEFORE picture day to help with organization (handing to me at the meet on Tuesday would be a great idea). I will accept payment and order forms the day of but they must be turned in as soon as you arrive. No individual or sibling photos will be taken unless payment has already been submitted. I will be accepting cash or check made payable to BGCA. I don’t want to have to worry about giving back change and can’t promise that I will have it so please think about breaking those 20’s before coming to picture day.
For those that don’t know me, I like things to be organized and efficient which is why I have so many “rules and policies”. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. If you have suggestions to make things better/ more efficient, never hesitate to talk it over with me.
Our current photographer is ready to pass the position to another photographer. If you are interested, let me know and you can shadow next week to help be ready for next year.
